Viewing Patients

Access and navigate your facility’s complete patient roster to quickly find patient information and manage records.

Accessing the Patient List

Opening Patient Records

To view all patients in your facility:

  • Click the Patients icon in the top navigation bar
  • The patient list page opens displaying all patients in the facility

Initial List Display

Upon opening, you’ll see:

  • Patient cards in a grid layout
  • Patient photo if available
  • Patient name
  • Date of birth (DOB)
  • Gender
  • Pagination controls at the top

Understanding the Patient List Layout

Patient Information Cards

Each patient card displays:

  • Patient photo
  • Full name (displayed prominently)
  • Date of birth
  • Gender: M (Male), F (Female), or O (Other)

Navigation Elements

Search Functionality:

  • Search text box at the top of the page
  • Blue “Search” button with magnifying glass icon

Archive Toggle:

  • “Show archived patients” toggle switch
  • Located below the search bar
  • Off by default to show only active patients

Navigating the Patient List

Pagination Controls

Located at the top of the patient list:

  • Numbered page buttons (1, 2, 3, 4…)
  • “Last” button to jump to the final page
  • Current page highlighted in blue
  • Navigate sequentially through pages

Searching for Patients

Using the Search Function

To find a specific patient:

  1. Click in the search text box at the top
  2. Start typing the patient’s:
  • First name or last name
  • Patient ID number
  1. Click the blue “Search” button or press Enter

Search Tips

  • Search is case-insensitive
  • Partial name matches work
  • Clear the search box to return to full list
  • Search results update the pagination

Viewing Patient Details

Selecting a Patient

To view detailed patient information:

  1. Click on any patient card
  2. The system navigates to the individual patient detail page

Patient Detail Page Contents

The detail page shows:

Header Section:

  • Large patient photo
  • Full name
  • Patient ID
  • Date of birth with age calculation
  • Gender
  • Full address (if available)

Information Sections (Expandable):

  • Attributes
  • Medical conditions
  • Allergies
  • Medications
  • Surgeries
  • Family history
  • Social history
  • Vitals and diagnostics
  • Visits

Special Patient Cards

New Patient Option

When selecting patients for visits:

  • “New Patient” card appears first in selection dialog
  • Plus icon indicates creation action
  • Clicking opens the new patient form

Placeholder Patients

Numbered patients (e.g., “Patient #469”):

  • Created when visits start without patient selection
  • Can be updated with full information later
  • Display minimal information until completed

Managing the Display

Show Archived Patients

To include archived patients:

  1. Locate the “Show archived patients” toggle
  2. Click to enable (toggle turns blue)
  3. List refreshes to include archived records
  4. Archived patients display alongside active ones
