Viewing Visit Details

As a healthcare provider, you can access detailed information about your scheduled visits, including patient information, visit status, and associated documentation. Visit details provide a comprehensive overview of each appointment before, during, and after the visit.

Accessing Visit Details

From Your Visit Schedule

  1. Navigate to your visit schedule by clicking the logo icon in the top navigation
  2. Locate the visit you want to view in your daily calendar
  3. Click on the visit item to open the visit details page

Understanding Visit Information

Patient Information Section

The visit details page displays patient information at the top with a profile image:

  • Patient Name: Full name of the patient (displayed prominently)
  • Patient ID: Unique identifier for the patient record
  • Date of Birth: Patient’s date of birth (e.g., “Jun 20th, 1974”)
  • Gender: Patient’s gender (M/F)
  • Address: Full patient address (if available)

Visit Details Section

Key visit information includes:

  • Date and Time of Visit: Displayed under a dedicated heading (e.g., “September 8, 2025” and “2:30 PM”)
  • Health Care Facility: Full facility name and address (e.g., “James Wilson Memorial Hospital” with complete address)
  • Reschedule Option: Button available to reschedule the visit

Visit Status and Electronic Signature

Status Section

The Status section shows the current state of visit documentation:

  • Signature Pending: Indicates the visit documentation is ready but needs provider signature
  • Signature Instructions: Instructions to sign the visit when you are done with it
  • Signature Canvas: Digital signature area with a “Redo” button to restart if needed
  • Save Signature Button: Button to save the electronic signature

Associated Documentation

Progress Notes

The Progress Note section provides a comprehensive documentation tool:

  • Rich Text Editor: Full-featured editor with formatting toolbar including:
    • Text formatting options (Normal, Heading 1, 2, 3)
    • Bold, italic, underline, and link buttons
    • Ordered and bulleted list options
    • Clean formatting button
  • SOAP Format: Pre-structured with Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan sections
  • Save Button: Button to save progress note changes
  • AI-Generated Content: AI-generated progress note content will appear when it is available. You MUST double-check and verify all AI-generated notes before signing the visit.

Medical Records and Patient Information

The Medical Records section contains expandable categories:

  • Symptoms: Expandable section showing symptoms related to this visit, with + button to add
  • Review of Systems: Clickable section for systematic review
  • Vitals and Diagnostics: Section for vital signs and diagnostic information
  • Medical Conditions: Section for medical conditions with + button to add
  • Allergies: Expandable allergy information section
  • Medications: Current medication list section
  • Surgeries: Historical surgery information
  • Family History: Patient family medical history
  • Social History: Social and lifestyle factors
  • Lab Orders: Laboratory test orders section
  • Prescriptions: Prescription management section

Communication Features

Messages Section

The Messages section of the visit page provides:

  • Message History: Shows “No messages. Start a conversation!” when no messages exist
  • Message Input: Text box labeled “Enter message” for typing new messages
  • Send Button: Button to send messages to the patient or care team
  • Secure Messaging: All messages are part of the secure patient record

Navigation Options

Action Buttons

From the visit details page, you can access these primary actions:

  • Join Call: Start the video visit for scheduled visits (button with phone icon)
  • Delete Visit: Remove the visit from schedule (button with trash icon)
  • View Call Transcript: Access AI-generated call transcription (button with document icon)
  • Reschedule: Modify the visit date and time (available in Date and Time section)

Navigation Between Sections

Within the visit details page, you can:

  • Expand Medical Record Sections: Click on any medical history category to view or add information
  • Access Documentation Tools: Use the Progress Notes editor for clinical documentation
  • Manage Signatures: Complete electronic signatures in the Status section
  • Send Messages: Use the messaging feature for patient communication

Visit Preparation

Pre-Visit Review

Use visit details to prepare for upcoming consultations:

  • Review patient medical history
  • Check previous visit notes
  • Verify appointment time and patient contact information
  • Note any special instructions or requirements

Required Information

Ensure you have access to:

  • Patient demographics and insurance information
  • Relevant medical history and conditions
  • Previous visit documentation
  • Current medications and allergies

During Active Visits

When a visit is in progress, the visit details page provides:

  • Call Access: “Join Call” button to enter the active video visit
  • Documentation Tools: Full access to Progress Notes for real-time documentation
  • Patient Reference: Complete patient medical history and information
  • Message Communication: Ability to send messages during the visit
  • Electronic Signature: Signature section available for visit completion

After Visit Completion

Visit Assessment Section

The Visit Assessment section displays AI-generated analysis:

  • AI-Generated Assessment: Shows AI-generated assessment when available
  • Status-Dependent: Content appears based on visit completion and AI processing

Post-Visit Actions

After completing a visit, you can:

  • Review Progress Notes: Access and edit the documented SOAP notes
  • Complete Electronic Signature: Sign the visit documentation in the Status section
  • View AI Assessment: Review AI-generated analysis when available
  • Send Follow-up Messages: Use the messaging feature for post-visit communication
  • Access Call Transcript: Review the visit transcript using “View call transcript” button

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Visit Details Not Loading

  • Refresh the page and try again
  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify you have permission to view this visit

Missing Patient Information

  • Ensure the patient record is complete
  • Contact support if critical information is missing

Unable to Join Visit

  • Verify the visit is scheduled for the current time
  • Check that another call is not already active
  • Ensure your browser supports video calling features
